(no subject)
Jun. 7th, 2004 02:46 pmWell, that didn't go as well as I'd hoped. I got 9, which is kind of good, I suppose, but not as good as I'd hoped.
In Denmark we have a 13 scale, out of which we have a little scale of 7-8-9, where 7 is kind of bad, 8 is okay and 9 is kind of good. History completely surprised me, because she's been giving me 9's the last two years. The thing is with English that my 7-8-9 scale has been moved, because she's been giving me 10's and 11's the last year, so it was 9-10-11. This means that my 9 is kind of bad. People keep telling me that it's great, and "I'm proud of you", but because my teacher has a standart lower than the Censor's, I get a full grade lower than usual.
The exam itself went as was expected, I guess. Out of my four exams (in total) I have each and every time got the subject I knew the least about, so when I got the subject about Big Bang and Hubble I just kinda faced facts and went to work. I did okay at the exam. I read the part I was supposed to (the only thing they didn't mention when they told me my grade), I explained about some astronomers (they said I used wrong inflections...) and I translated (which was the part I was most nervous about, because I've learned English by reading (slash), so I don't know the exact Danish word for some English words). I thought I did pretty good, but apparently the censor didn't.
I need some serious cheering up now!!!
