(no subject)
Dec. 4th, 2004 04:44 pmAs Chris knows, I was just in Impreial to see Alexander again. And this was for the fourth time simce the premiere in Copenhagen eight days ago. I might have a bit of an obsession, me thinks *cough*. I realised that Hephaistion may have the worst lines, ever! Sure, the things that come out of his mouth (gah!) are pretty cute and sweet (and lovely and wonderful and heartbreaking and...), but they are really of no consequence at all! I mean, he is a general for god's sake! Please, couldn't you have let him come up with some genious plan at one point or another? No, he just has to walk around like a lovesick puppy (not that I have a problem with that!).
I went with my sister, my dad, his brother and his two children. My sister said she liked Troy better (Of course... *sigh*), to which I might have said some rather horrible thing about me having read the Iliad and that she hadn't. My dad also thought that Troy was better, but only because it was easier to understand. The Alexander storyline was, better, but because it was so complicated, they lost him somewhere between Ptolomy, Parmenion and Pausanias. My cousin, Rebecca, actually liked it quite a lot, which I am really really happy about, because she seems like the kind of person who only likes a movie because Orlando Bloom is in it. I think I could get her to love Ancient Greece quite a bit! I'm not sure what my other cousin and my uncle thought of it.
Now I shall retreat to write a wish list for Tina and Chris (and who-ever might be interested...?)
