I haven't updated my journal in a while, for no reason really. I just haven't had the time or energy.

Now for my trip to Berlin: Yes, it was a hilarious trip, but I was still a bit sick, so I didn't get as much out of the trip as the rest of my class might have, which bothers me a bit. They teased me when I went to bed at 9 o'clock the first evening, but I was just so bombed. The following day was as could be expected, except that Thea said so many bad things about Jews, that I almost went up to her and slapped her. She said stuff like "they only build this (the Jewish museum) because they wanted all of Germany to feel sorry for them. Well, I don't feel sorry for them". That night I got drunk for the first time in my life (not because of Thea, but because I felt like it, and they had Vodka and orange juice!). It was very weird... The rest of the trip was good, too. I have it all on tape because Anders and Alex had brought a video camera and I got it on a CD yesterday.

Luckily we had friday off, because that day would've just been hell. I became sick the night between 20/21 and I'm actually still sick. This makes it the 6th time in my 2nd year of (our) high school. Blah!

I was supposed to go to the anti-war demonstration that weekend, but since I was sick I had to stay home and watch it on the TV, just like I did the weekend before. But no more! I will go to the demonstration tomorrow and just to be sure I have something to do with the anti-war thing, I have joined the anti-way group on my school. Yes, we are 300 people on my school, but that doesn't mean we can't have an anti-war group!

Anyway, I just wanted you guys to know that I wasn't dead or anything.

Don't know if I'd have slapped her

But I would have told her off. Discrimination is something I won't put up with. I hope you told her where she could put her nasty little comments.

Like they say, when in Rome. Or in this case, Germany. There's like the beer capital of the world, of course you had something to drink. Vodka and orange juice though, ick! I can't take anything mixed with OJ, since it's so acidic. Mix it something like apple juice or Sprite, it's better. Anyway, did you actually get 'do and say stupid things, throw up, and wake up with a hangover' drunk? Or just loopy?

I didn’t say anything to her, because I was mentally preparing myself for seeing the horrible stuff inside the museum. But I have considered trying to understand why she would say those things, because she‘s usually not like this at all%21 That‘s why it was so shocking

The Vodka/orange juice thing: I can‘t stand beer. I tried it for the first time about a month ago and it was just so disgusting! But orange juice and Vodka is good, because you can‘t really taste the Vodka. And luckily I didn‘t do anything stupid. The rest of my class were going out later, but I stayed home because it was my first time being drunk, so I didn‘t know how I would react and I thought it better to stay in the hotel room and not go out in a strange city. I stead I drank 1½ litres of water and ate a lot of salty liquorice, which meant that I didn‘t have a hangover the next day.
