Aug. 14th, 2004 01:12 amNice day at work. Pernille told me that she'd get their IT guy to come over and set up a computer for me. I was like, "wah!?" at first, but seconds later I was planning how I could sit and read slash, while getting 100 kr/hour for it. Lovely!!
The Olympics have finally started and I'm already obsessing over Ian Thorpe and Christian Olsson. I guess this isn't a good sign, since it can only go up from here... The great thing about only working 2 1/2 hours a day is that the next 16 days I can watch so much Olympics that my eyes will fall out of my scull. Yes. I've set my alarm clock to go off at 9:30 tomorrow so I can see Ian Thorpe's first swim.
I saw the intro to the Olympics tonight and I must say that half the time I was just sitting in awe of it all (so beautiful!) and the other half I was sitting, quietly squee-ing to myself. But about 5 % I sat cursing Jørgen Leth, who said stuff like "I think this is a bit too much" and commenting through the Greek national anthem. Stupid man... My love for the ancient world has been re-awoken.
My 19th birthday is in exactly two weeks, so if anyone is interested I'll be updating my wish list these days. I'll probably post it in a few days
I miss my friends. I haven't really seen any of them in 1-2 weeks, and the last time I actually saw Nina and Rebekka was after we returned from France. I've been to the beach with both Line and Maria, but I still miss them like crazy. And Thea, too. Her probably most of all, because we can geek together like none of the others. And I really want to see Fahrenheit 9/11 with Maria, but her granddad just died, so... *sigh* I'll just see what happens.
