Sep. 13th, 2004 12:30 pmI went to the doctor, who was very nice. She looked at the birthmark and asked how long I'd had it. I told her I'd had i as long as I remember. She said that it looked very normal for a birthmark that old, with the wrinkles and shape it had. And that it is perfectly normal for a birthmark to hurt once in a while. I felt really relieved, but someow I think I would have been more relieved if she had said that it looked normal, but maybe I should have it removed. Because if it can start hurting in a few years again I'm pretty sure I'll start to freak. Again.
*sigh* I'm such a wuss and a hypochondriac. And still scared.

Date: 2004-09-13 03:35 am (UTC)i know what you're going through - i kind of have exactly the same thing (heh at the exact same spot too, even).. mine doesn't hurt though, but it's kind of weirdly shaped and bold, it hasn't really changed over the past few years, but i'm still always very suspicious of it.
I should go see a doctor really, but i'm too scared :\

Date: 2004-09-13 04:56 am (UTC)Yeah, maybe you should go see a doctor about it, just to be sure that isn't...you know. Yeah... It's been a few hours since I was at the doctor's and it has really calmed me down knowing it wasn't an evil!birthmark. It was nice to get an answer.
*hugs*

Date: 2004-09-13 06:59 am (UTC)Oh, and I have a lot of birthmarks. That's why if I have one with cancer, some of the others would probably have cancer as well.
