Sep. 26th, 2004 10:04 amI haven't updated in a few days, but I felt like I should.
First of all, I'm going to take the Swedish class with Thea. The first lesosn is tomorrow, so, yay! *loves Sweden*
Second of all, my sister is back from Berlin (like
vampirespider) and somehow she got herself a boyfriend. I haven't seen them together yet, so I don't really know what to think... But I'm already kinda ready to kill her. A little...
The reason I'm posting is really to let you all know that I'm going to my parent's summer house this afternoon. It's going to be really interesting to see, I think. And I bought Bill Bryson's A short history of nearly everything, which I'm hoping I get a chance to read up there. Pictures will possibly happen.
Take care and I'll talk to you guys when I get home *hugs*

Date: 2004-09-27 10:20 am (UTC)I'm actually going to Malmö on Saturday, so maybe I should buy a book or two in Swedish, so I can learn more? Hmm..

Date: 2004-09-27 11:42 am (UTC)Really!? Now I'm really jealous! I've been watching some Allsvenskan lately and Malmö FF just seems to be on fire right now :) (even if they did let Hammarby equalize to 3-3 yesterday).
I certainly recommend reading the kind of fiction or non-fiction or whatever you read otherwise, to learn a language. I know my English skills are a result of reading lots and lots of Discworld books ;).

Date: 2004-09-27 02:25 pm (UTC)Yeah, I only learned to read Danish because of Donald Duck and English because of slash fiction. So, yeah. Reading Swedish is the way to do it!

Date: 2004-09-27 02:41 pm (UTC)Heh, I picked up reading Finnish due to the usual "the only way you're going to find out what happens next in this story, is if you read it yourself". Slash? Now that's something :D
