shubassdkThe craziest thing happened today. I seriously can't believe it, really.
I saw the Turkish football team.
Yes.
I was on my way to a bookstore on Strøget (main street in Copenhagen) and I passed a group of people who was about to get taken a picture of them. I thought, "hey, cool to have tourists still!" Then I saw that they had the same clothes on with little Turkish flags, so I thought, "hey, cool that Turkish people would go all the way to Denmark to see a football match! Good for them!" I walked a few metres away from them, whe I suddenly realised that these people weren't football fans. They were the actual players! I really had no idea what to do, because I couldn't just walk over and say, "I don't really know your names, but would you mind signing this piece of news paper?" So I just walked the next 200 metres feeling all happy inside, but really bummed that I hadn't brought either my camera (but why would I have brought that, anyway) or my phone. Mostly my phone, because I really wanted to tell people...!
I'm not really sure what to do with this information, because I didn't really see anything. I don't know what they're called, I didn't see any of them holding hands, none of them were making out with random Danish girls, so it's basically it's just a memory.
One of the guys at work said something really clever. He said that they might not be able to play in such cold weather as we have right now (it's over 20 degrees ikn Istanbul and under 10 in Copenhagen, but feels like less because of the wind).
