Dec. 27th, 2004 01:11 pmI go away for three days and you guys pull a skip=140. You're absolutely insane.
First of all, I'd like you all to know that this post is written while listening to my 17-year-old sister singing along to the Children's Eurovision Song Contest in the next room. She got two of the CD's as Christmas gifts. I want to kill myself now. "Hvis du har, nana na, ild i fluen så sæt party-power på, jeg jagter piger, wowow, festens frække tøs, jeg sætter turbofluen løs, turbofluen løs". Yes. *kills self*
Spent Christmas eve at home with my parents, sister, grandmom, auncle and his son and aunt and her son, which is basically my dad's side of the family, though a very little part of it. We ate the Christmas dinner at our place and had the Christmas tree/Christmas gifts at my grandmom's (yay her and her Santa instead of a star at the top of the tree! *bounces*). We were nine people, so there were quite a lot of presents, though most of them were for me and Clara. After the gifts, we played Trivial Persuit, which a Christmas tradition in my family. I really love this part of the family for being really really weird. My dad's brother (sister? I'll just call "him" him from now on, because it's less confusing) is a transsexual, his son is just weird and geeky, but in a cool way, dad's sister is really sweet, her son is sooooo cute (!), my grandmom is the coolest person on earth (yay her for being a communist and an atheist!). And my parents are just...heh...communist/ecologists, in a very cool and classy way.
We left for Præstø on the 25th, to go to my mom's sister and her Christmas dinner/tree/gifts/family cosiness. 22 people. Yes. They have a huge house. This side of the family is really really weird as well, but in a different way, in a less "omg! I'm communist!"-way, but still leftie. I should really do that family picture-meme at one point, because I have a really cool family. Anyway, my sister and I spent most of the weekend with our cousin, Frederik, watching illegal movies on his computer (Starsky & Hutch and Phonebooth). We also watched LOTR:ROTK SEE (mine! Ha!) and The Bourne Identity (omg Matt Damon! Wee!). It was really nice to see this side of the family again, because we only see them at birthdays and stuff, but also because five of them are currently living in Brazil (yes.), so they aren't in Denmark that often. ALl in all very very nice and cosy!!
Right now my parents have left for another Christmas dinner at my mom's aunt's house (she's a famous fashion critique in Denmark, so it's veeery very posh. Which is why I'm not there. It's too superficial for me), so I'll probably go watch ROTK with commentary in a bit. But first! The gifts!!
- LOTR:ROTK SEE (wee!! I'm so proud of my mom, because she ordered on Amazon.com *hugs her*)
- Three Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban (yay!! One is going back to Super Brugsen and one is going back to Amazon. Can anyone help me with the latter?)
- Fight Club (!!! Yay!)
- Monty Pyhton DVD (yay!!)
- Victor Borge Collection (should be fun to watch, I guess? My dad made me keep it)
- Great Expectations video (I really didn't know why I'd gotten it, but it was really nice to watch. Gwynneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke)
- Scissor Sisters CD (very nice CD! It's really great! Listening to it right now)
- "I'm a stranger here myself", by Bill Byson (he returns to the US after 20 years in England. Should be really funny to read!)
- "Ovid's Forvandlinger" (don't know if I'll keep it, yet. I think it would be really fun to read, but it's so big! Though it's translated by Otto Steen Due, so it can't be half bad *hugs Otto Steen Due*
- An Adax wallet (I think it's a little too large, but it's really pretty (and expensive!!))
- A shower lotion from Iceland (should be good for my skin)
- A Nørgaard shirt (the shirt I'm wearing here, but with purple instead of white)
- a Zara shirt (3/4 sleeves, which I love, and in black)
From Chris:
- "The Chronic Innocence" DVD (yay!!!! Seriously, this is Danish slash at its best)
- "The Rainbow Boys", by Alex Sanchez (I read it the day I got it and it was very very nice! Lovely gay boys! *bounces*)
- A book with pictures of Danish football through the year (includes both Christian Poulsen and Peter Møller, so yaay!)
All in all a really nice and quiet Christmas. I am very very satisfied!
Also,
lennafreya had a sexual Christian dream. I am very jealous, since she also has a boyfriend *pouts*
