Apparently at 1 pm our Prime Minister will announce that we'll have an election on February 8 in Denmark. We will also have the first discussion battle tonight. I am scared that the left wing won't have time enough to catch up with the right wing, which would mean four more years with Anders Fogh.

This will mean that the amount of time I've used talking about football the last few weeks will probably be used talking about the election. Just so you know. (btw. the election will the the 8th and the Greece-Denmark football match is the 9th. What an interesting week that'll be!)

I suddenly feel an urge to call the Socialdemocrats to offer to do some volounteer work, or something. About Enhedslisten, I'll miss Søren Søndergaard a damn lot. He really is one of the highlights of watching Parliament debate *hugs Søren*

ETA: In other news, a man fired 10-13 bullets at two Arab men in Hadderslev. The doctors worked on them for 45 minutes, but they died. The man who did it fled in his blue Opel Vectra. He lost his LICENCE PLATE NUMBER!! How stupid can you be!? Seriously, unless the car is stolen (which I somehow doubt), this is probably the stupidest thing to do! *cough* Yes.

The left wing is so screwed. Even my friend Fie, who is a member of the Socialdemocrats, and who's mother is too (and even in the, eh, kommunalbestyrelse for that party), said that Fogh was gonna win. No doubt about it. She complained that she was to busy right now to spend all her time campaigning. But she's gonna anyway.

Being a liberal, I'm totally fine with that. But I can see how you would be sad, being as far left on the political scale as you are.

Well, as Kaare R. Schou said in the news, everything can change in three weeks. At this point in time, the left wing is 6 mandates behind, which isn't that much when you think about it. But, yeah, if they don't fight all they can, they won't win. But nothing is settled yet!

Fie mumbled something about them being doomed because all the "stupid" votes would go for Fogh, seeing that he is way nicer to look at than Lykketoft. Not that Fogh is anything special, but that's a good point.

I'm just a liberal. It's my ideology, baby. Every person is clever enough to make their own decisions and should have the right to pursue wealth and happiness for themselves. In theory. Otherwise I'm probably a bit of a social-liberal too. See, I want the help if I lose my job... Venstre aren't really liberals after all, they just say they are.

It's so stupid, because it isn't all about those two...! I'm talking in general, but I think a lot of people seem to forget that there are so many other parties (10) to vote for and many many more candidates.

All I asked was what definition of the word you meant, because whenever Danes talk about politics in English I get really confused about which definition they mean. But, yeah, it's you ideology and we don't have to agree. I was just curious.

I think Fogh's gonna win. At which point I'll go an get drunk. Or just read porn all night, because yes. Way to beat the system! Also, much cheaper.

As I was saying. I'll do my damnedest to ensure Fogh won't get another go at it. Don't think it'll be sucessful, but still. Democracy only works for those who show up, right?

I'm not going to give up just yet, because giving up now is almost like handing the victory over to Fogh. I will at least try and give him a run for his money.

I think much drinking will also be involved if Fogh wins.
