Jan. 26th, 2005 07:37 pmI'm going with my dad to Sweden tomorrow. He has to pick up some rocks at University of Lund and at some beaches and asked if I would join him (partly becayse I'm going to study Geography, but also partly because I have nothing better to do). So because I have no money, my parents will give me some. I'll probably sit and drink loads of tea at some café and read books. I'll bring a few, because I just finished one today (woot! Go me! *cough630pagescough*). And since I am partly sick (not really a fever, just waaay too much snot in my head), my parents will make me wear too much clothes.
And also, the guy from Enhedslisten came this afternoon with the 500 leaflets (in true Enhedslisten-style, on a bicycle).

I'll get Clara to bring one for Chris tomorrow, so you can get your copy, Sofie.
*hugs* for
lennafreya (it'll all work out, sweetie) and
erjika (good luck tomorrow!)
Now, tea and chocolate. The only think missing is Christian, but, yeah... *shrugs*

Date: 2005-01-26 06:41 pm (UTC)Does that mean that they make sure that they are ready for the debates and questions, or that they make sure that they are dressed for the debates and questions? And if the latter, is this party some sort of Nudist party? *grins*
The next question: Why have the election in the winter? Seriously. If they're going to have booths with propaganda, etc... wouldn't it be more sensible to have it in the spring when people aren't rushing like hell to get inside to the warmth?

Date: 2005-01-26 10:44 pm (UTC)There's actually a really good reason for that. First of all, it's our Prime Minister who elects the date, so he can more or less choose the point in time where people like him the most. Which he has. But it's also because we have some upcoming events (Kommunevalg og sammenlægning af kommuner og amter. I don'e know what it is in English...), and since that's going to take most of the spring, he had to pick a date before winterholiday (week 7-8). Otherwise he'd have to have it in the fall, bwhich I actually don't know why he didn't... Hmm... Also, we don't actually do the booth-thing. Most of the advertaising for your party takes place on the TV and on the internet. Some of the bigger parties hand out leaflets and bags with buns and flyers in them. People kind of like that, but not enough to vote for them. They take advantage of it instead ;)
