Feb. 10th, 2005 10:58 pmSo much has happened since I last updated, so I'll jsut take it from the beginning:
It was really ugly after the hairdresser destroyed it, but my mom helped me and cut some of the too long-bits off. Now it's just shorter than I'd like it to be, but it's not as ugly as before.
It's really exhausting, as I think you've noticed from my last few updates, but it's nice to finally something constructive again. I have three work-buddies, or whatever you might call it, called Marie, Mia and Carsten, who are all my age. They are really nice and friendly, but we are still at the getting to know each other-fase, so we're not too close yet. but we will, because we spend practically 8 hours with each other, every day. The lawyers and secretaries have all been really nice to me, too. The actual work isn't exactly difficult or complicated, but it's physically hard, because I don't get to sit down more or less all day, so my feet are already really affected by it. We prepare the meeting rooms for meetings, buy the cookies (SO MANY COOKIES!), do the copying, go to the bank, prepare the letters for sending and geberakky help out where we can. Considdering the fact that 75 people work there, you can only imagine the workload we have. At some point I'm going to have to help out at the reception desk with answering the phones, which is scaring the SHIT out of me, but I think it'll be alright in the end.
Of the three I work with, two of them are active in politics. Marie is a member or Conservative Youth and Carsten is a member of Socialdemocratic Youth. We have had many many discussions already. Marie was really surprised I was an Enhedslisten-girl. She thought I was on her side!! But in the end it really doesn't matter, because she's nice, so it's all good.
Well, it actually turned out a bit better than I had thought? The Socialdemocrats didn't lose as many mandates (?) as I had thought and Enhedslisten actually got 2 extra mandates (going fomr 4 to 6). My entire family voted for Pernille Rosentrantz-Theil (including my grandmom), so we were all happy. We had a little election-party, with many of my parents' friends and Maria. My parents' friends are the craziest people in the world and extremely nice and funny, so in spite of us actually losing in the end, we still had a blast, among other things trying to figure out what people had used to fix their hair (Pia, Holger K., Helle Thorning-Schmidt and so on). When Mogens stepped down as leader of the Socialdemocrats, both Clara and I started crying. It was all so sad, but also really right. Everyone has said it was the best speach he has ever held.
But now the question is: Who will be the next leader of the party? Now more than ever, I believe it is going to be Frank Jensen. As much as I like the idea of a female Prime Minister, I don't think neither Helle nor Mette are the right choise. I think Mette *will be* the right choise later on (because, god dammit, she is COOL!), but she's too young and she needs more experience. My vote. FRANKENSTEIN JENSEN JUNIOR!
Well, okay. How about two days in a row that sucked? 2-1 against Greece, a game we really should have been able to win, but not with the team we pleayed with. We didn't have Jesper Grønkjær (I miss you!), Martin Laursen (I miss you, too!!), Thomas Helveg and so on. We were especially weak in our defense, but the rest of the team were bad as well. Thomas Gravesen played way too poorly. He plays at Rela Madrid, so he *should* be able to play way better than this. Morten Olsen, once again, made the fault of putting Jon Dahl at the top of our attacking-field (?). He did the same against the Czech Repubblic and that ended extremely bad, so he should know better. The right wing played really bad as well. Actually, the only good player was Christian Poulsen, and I'm not saying that because I'm his fangirl #1. Politiken (newspaper) give out grades after each mact and they have him the only 9, so yay for him!
That is all from me now.

Date: 2005-02-11 07:13 am (UTC)I'm glad your job's going well, and that the people are nice. Of course, you're extremely nice too, and what goes around comes around, as they say. *g* And it'll be alright with the phones; you're intelligent and capable.
*hugs you*
Yeah. I think I expected this outcome, but I'm very, very happy about the two new mandates. They made my day. Next time? We'll *kill* those suckers.

Date: 2005-02-13 12:19 pm (UTC)I hope you're right about the phone-thing. I'm going to answer phones on Wednesday and I really hope it'll go better than last time *crosses fingers*. Or it'll go so bad that they won't ask me to do it again.
Oh, yes. Our new mandates *hugs Rune, Per, Frank and Jørgen*. We'll definitely kill them next time!
