shubassdkWell, it finally happened. After exactly 2 weeks in hospital my grandmom died this afternoon at 2:15. My dad came home at 3 and told me and we cried together. Then we took the train/bus to Hillerød Sygehus where we visited her. My mom, my two aunts and my cousin, Per, (who's 39) were all there and the minute me and my sister stepped into the room we started crying. They had dressed her and put some make-up on her and put roses on her bed, but not too many.
She had broken her pelvis bone (I think) and then her intestines had begun to block up. My mom thought they could operate her, but at 9 am this morning they told them all (including my grandmom) that that was practucally impossible because of her physical condition. She was too small and fragile. After that it went rather quickly. She was in great great pain, so they gave her morphine to kill the pain, but it was like something inside her just gave up, because she died only 5 hours later.
We've cried so much. I think I've cried about 3 hours straight since 3 pm, so my eyes are extrememly puffed, my nose is stuffed and I have the worst head ache ever.
To those of you who care: This was my grandmom.
