Peter Jackson, I am your slave! Return of the King is the best God damned movie I've ever bloody seen!!!

I will post no spoilers, but I just wanted to say that I cried the whole movie! I cried because of the greatness, the sadness, the slashyness and all sorts of things.

It was a really nice night, because I went to the LOTR marathon in Imperial (the biggest cinema in Copenhagen) and people were in such a great mood! about 1/3 had dressed up as everything from Galadriel and Eowyn to Gríma and a Nazgül! I have no idea how much I clapped all through the 3 movies, but I think I spent a good 20 mins, just clapping for Aragorn, Pippin hitting an orc in TT, Legolas' weird stunts and stuff like that.

I sat alone, because the person I got the ticket from was #37 in the line, so I couldn't get 8 tickets together. But Line was there, too, so we met up in the intermissions and talked about the movies and stuff.

The girl I sat next to was also "by herself"; her friends also sat somewhere else in the audience. But during RotK I saw her, through the corner of my eye, dry her eyes almost as much as me. Line said that she and her friend Annika were crying through the movie too, as was the unknown guy Line was sitting next to. So it wasn't only the girls!

When the movies were over, at 3:30 am, me and Line went home and got to bed. I slept 3 hours, then I got up 3 hours later and went to school. From 8 am - 3 pm and with PE, I might add! And Line didn't even come to school today!

[livejournal.com profile] vampirespider, [livejournal.com profile] muha: My pictures were really bad. I only have one kinda not bad one of John Rhys Davies. I think that it was because it was a dospossable camera, but also because I didn't use the flash enough... Dammit!

I don't know yet. My father usually invites my brother and I to see the LOTR movies, and he hasn't yet - but I know he's going to do so soon. I'm just waiting... impatiently!

Are you emotionally drained too? I was so sleepy when I got "home" at 4 AM something, but couldn't sleep! Other than that, it took me half an hour to take off my elven dress!

You went to school? *claps* Better than me! Grampa woke me up at 1 PM, cause it was time to pick up grams from the day care center and eat lunch!

Aaaw... all our pics were screwed then!

Hee, can't disagree with you there ;).

Gotta say I'm envious of the crowd you saw it with :). Finns are such passive moviegoers. Hell, we're passive anythinggoers! Which of course in my case means that I pretty much mean we're way too passive football watchers ;). Seriously though, the crowd I saw it with was just sad compared to yours. Clapping when it started and when it ended and that's it. Pathetic really. The fact that it was a matinee could've had a bit to do with it though, so there's hope the crowd tomottor is better sunce it's a 22.00 show :)

Yeah, the showing I went to was:
1: the LOTR marathon, which means that it was only pure blooded LOTR-movie fans.
2: it was a cinema with an audience of about 700-1000 people.

So I guess I was really lucky. The Danes are kinda boring, usually

Meh, I don't think there's 600-700 pure blooded LOTR fans in this country - or at least they weren't in that show I went to. The cinema was good though - best equiptment and biggest in Finland and all that :).

Boring? Not the football fans - rooligans they're called, right? Honestly, everytime I see a summary of a match of yours on Eurosport, I turn green of envy. I so need to move to Spain - maybe my football fanatism might be more appreciated there *G*. Here I mainly get the "why aren't you into hockey?" kinda looks *lol*

lol - yeah, we have roligans (rolig = calm in Danish). I think the reason why we are so football fanatic, is that we won the European championship in '92, so after that we think that we are unbeatable, so everytime we play against a team (even teams like England, Brazil and France) we think that we're winning. And you know that from the Finnish games, when you think your team is winning, more'll watch it, right? We just think that everytime...

Yeah, we could use an European Championship too *G*. Though I still think it'd only take one more hockey trophy and they'd all be back watching bloody hockey, hmpf. People here just tend to have bad taste in sports ;).

Yah. My crowd sucked. (Of course, I may just be saying this because they fucking cheered when Aragorn and Arwen kissed. Well. Half of them. And one of them yelled at me *seethe*)

I went to the first fricking Englaish showing of it here, and there were 88 seats still left. And it was the first showing in the whole city...And nobody clapped at anything...

However, the night before was the German one, not all three but just RotK, and all 2,800 or something seats were old out.

Wow, so many people go for the dubbed version when there was the original one too to be seen? Like they think the dubbed one is the better one? I've never understood that. Okay, not big surprise since the only shows that are dubbed here in Finland are children's shows, but still...

Yeah, I don't actually live here, I'm just here on an exchange thing, but everything here seems to be dubbed. It's quite disconcerting really. But yeah, the German is generally always preferred over the English language original here, possibly 'cause then people can understand it...

Ahaa. I have a friend who spent a year there too :). That was when the Star Wars Special Edition films were in cinemas. She told it was bloody weird hearing Han Solo & co speaking German. I can believe, heh.

Still, very odd as I'm so used to subtitles. Better this way I think. You basically know a fair bit of English even before you start studying it - it's just a matter of accessing the info you've stored without even trying..

Yeah, the only really bad thin I find about it, is the fact that the voices sound so incredibly stupid in German most of the time. But other than that, it's ok. Well, other than the talking too fast in a language I don't really understand thing. But then it's amazing the time you can go to bed without being noyed about it. Rock on 7.30!!
